Bass player and singer Jim Pons (born March 14, 1943 in Santa Monica, CA, USA) joined Frank Zappa's Mothers Of Invention in early 1971 and stayed in the band until December 10, 1971 (the London concert where Zappa was trown off stage). He can be heard on various Zappa / Mothers albums. Before joining Zappa, Jim Pons had been a part of The Turtles, as were Mark Volman and Howard Kaylan.
Real Name: Jim Pons. Profile: American bass guitarist and singer for several 1960s rock bands, born March 14, 1943, Santa Monica, California.
