She is the winner of four Grammies, seventeen Blues Music Awards, and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (in 1993), the Blues Hall of Fame (in 2001), and the Grammy Hall of Fame (in both 1999 and 2008).

This is Etta James at her very best - simple vocals with minimal backing. In particular "At Last", "I'd Rather Go Blind" and "Do Right Woman, Do Right Man" are outstanding with just the right amount of sax backing. What makes it even better is it is a studio recording - no impromptu applause and audience screeching at the wrong time
