John Toga Wea Harmon was ordained and consecrated as the 14th bishop of the Diocese of Arkansas at a service held at Episcopal Collegiate School in Little Rock. Harmon becomes the first Liberian-born diocesan bishop in the United States.

Serving as Rector of the Trinity Episcopal Church, North-west D.C., for twenty-three years, the Liberian born Father Harmon, created a school for training in arts and music which has immensely developed the Episcopal music ministry where young Christians between the ages of 18-21, learn new skills in music.
