The Hurt Locker van regisseur Kathryn Bigelow is de grote winnaar van de Satellite Awards. De film won vier prijzen, waaronder die van beste dramafilm en beste regie. Most combat troops want to get it over with and go home. But the hero of this film, Staff Sgt. William James, who has a terrifyingly dangerous job, addresses it like a daily pleasure. Under enemy fire in Iraq, he defuses bombs.
The Hurt Locker är en amerikansk krigsfilm från 2008 i regi av Kathryn Bigelow. Filmen hade premiär i USA 2009 och belönades senare med sex Oscar, bland annat för bästa film och bästa regi. Filmen vann även sex kategorier av den engelska BAFTA Award och hade i mars 2010 fått sammanlagt omkring 95 filmpriser.
