"It was literally like walking into heaven." That's how actor Wade McCollum describes his first visit to the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts in Santa Maria, better known as PCPA Theaterfest, as an wide-eyed teenager from Ashland, Ore. "All I wanted to do was work on my craft and do theater," recalled McCollum, who immediately dropped out of high school and enrolled at PCPA at age 16.
