It is a much more recently mastered CD. I am not particularly a fan of The Police. Some of Stewart Copeland's other solo albums are live performances and draw much more heavily on African rhythms.
In this sense, Stewart Copeland's soundtrack for Rumble Fish is successful in that it presents a flowing, coherent mood that works well even if the film itself is not present.
