For Lonely Avenue, piano whizz Ben Folds teamed up with author and music fan Nick Hornby, who provides the record’s lyrics. The two make an excellent collaborative pair, as Folds puts together emotionally resonant arrangements like the heartstring-tugging “Picture Window” to frame Hornby’s evocative words.

And Ben Folds does his best singing since Rockin' the Suburbs in my opinion. This is a sort of project that should be repeated. I want a lonely Avenue 2.0, it wouldn't take too much time, because they never both have to be present.
