Educating Archie was comedy radio show offered by the BBC Light Programme to its 15 million listeners. The show featured ventriloquist Peter Brough and his dummy Archie Andrews. Other stars in the show were Tony Hancock, Benny Hill, Harry Secombe, Dick Emery, Bernard Bresslaw, Bruce Forsyth and the young Julie Andrews.
Educating Archie was a BBC Light Program comedy show broadcast in the early 1950s on Sunday lunchtimes featuring ventriloquist Peter Brough and his dummy Archie Andrews. The program was very successful even though the idea of a ventriloquist and his dummy being on radio seems quite illogical.
