27 de mar. de 2011 · The mono DECCA album of CHRISTMAS CAROLS (DL-8193) by Leroy Anderson, he of "Sleigh Ride" fame, and orchestra is a most interesting mix of widely known holiday songs and even more that most folks aren't familiar with. DECCA's "Christmas Carols" was also issued on 45 RPM extended play 7" singles.
Leroy Anderson ( / ləˈrɔɪ / lə-ROY) (June 29, 1908 – May 18, 1975) was an American composer of short, light concert pieces, many of which were introduced by the Boston Pops Orchestra under the direction of Arthur Fiedler. John Williams described him as "one of the great American masters of light orchestral music." [1]
5 de feb. de 2007 · We had a vinyl album back when I was growing up only it had a different cover on the jacket entitled, "Leroy Anderson's Christmas Carols." The jacket pictured a white cat sitting in front of a tinsel-strewn Christmas tree.
