22 de dic. de 2013 · 50. For every awesome moment in this album, there's some bad karaoke level vocal performance or something that puts me to sleep. I'm okay with the cheesy 80's sound, I just wish they sounded like they wanted to make music. The first track is badass, the rest is around average, mostly below.

For most fans and critics 1983's "The Revölution by Night" is Blue Öyster Cult's nadir, along with "Mirrors" and probably "Club Ninja", due to the radio-friendly and polished sound on several tracks, courtesy of prestigious producer Bruce Fairbairn (Loverboy, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith), a specialist who provided that arena rock feel to songs like "Shooting Shark" or "Take Me Away".
