Gerry Marsden (with a bit of help from the 3 Pacemakers) is the true sound of the Mersey Beat. The Beatles self-imploded with the arguments, the drugs, the cod mysticism and all the other rubbish. Gerry and the Pacemakers are the archetypal 60s group and Gerry Marsden just hasn't changed - the music is great but his anecdotes are the highlight of this dvd.
