In 1973, Marvin, Welch & Farrar were effectively folded into the fully reactivated Shadows, with Brian Bennett resuming his place in the drummer's slot. According to Hank Marvin, in an interview quoted by David Wells in his notes for a reissue of the trio's albums on Beat Goes On, they were able to incorporate some of the Marvin, Welch & Farrar vocal numbers very well into the Shadows' sets.

Despite much online research, it has proven impossible - so far - to discover the release year of this Dutch compilation album, which contains tracks from "Marvin, Welch And Farrar" (February 1971) and "Second Opinion" (November 1971).
The group comprised Hank Marvin (b: 28 October 1941), on vocals and lead guitar, Bruce Welch (b: 2 November 1941) on vocals and rhythm guitar, and John Farrar (b: 8 November 1946) on vocals and guitar (both lead and rhythm). Reports were appearing in the UK music press in late summer 1970 that Hank Marvin and Bruce Welch were forming a new group.
The two ex Shadows are Hank Marvin and Bruce Welch with John Farrar,together they made this wonderfull album,I just love it still 43 years on. It came out as the singer/songwriter period was the rage and I suppose is similar to CSNandY in sound.They did a second album then it was over and back to The Shadows.
