Admission to the College is open to all high school graduates, those holding a High School Equivalency (HSE), or other persons 18 years or older. It is a long, narrow strip little more than a mile wide, and about 6 miles long from north to south. The height varies from 124 ft. in the extreme north to 813 ft. at the top of Ditchling Beacon in the south.

Hace 5 días · There was a 'seminary' or 'ladies' school' in the 1850s, and a preparatory school with 6-9 pupils occupied the Manor House in Limmer Lane in 1861 and Richmond Villa, Felpham Way, in 1871. (fn. 696) In the 20th century there were other private schools, (fn. 697) notably the Gateway mixed preparatory school in Felpham village (fl. 1950-78) which at its closure had 185 pupils.

A Church school was opened in 1876 with a certificated teacher and an attendance of 43. The school was managed and the building was owned, as in 1906, by Hugh Gorringe of Kingston House.

In 1950 Marlands house was sold to the West Sussex county council, and some outlying farms including Barns Green farm were sold off. The estate company still held a home farm of c. 150 a. in 1985.
