Going Back Home is Sherman's long-anticipated debut for Sledgehammer Blues (née AudioQuest Music). Sherman plays his Texas tail off with a superb backing band featuring Bill Payne and Richie Hayward from Little Feat.
William H. Payne (born March 12, 1949) is an American pianist who, with Lowell George, co-founded the American rock band Little Feat. He is considered by many other rock pianists, including Elton John , [2] to be one of the finest American piano rock and blues musicians.

7 de jul. de 2023 · Bill Payne formed Little Feat in 1969 with Lowell George after George left Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention. Payne joined Community Voices to reflect on the evolution of Little Feat before their central Illinois concert at the Devon Lakeshore Amphitheater in Decatur.
