Monk's Walk School is a vibrant and successful secondary school in Hertfordshire. It caters for students aged 11-18.
At Monk’s Walk we aim to meet the needs of all students and have a whole-school approach to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We provide effective opportunities for all students by responding to students’ diverse and often complex, learning needs, setting suitable learning challenges, and overcoming barriers to learning.
Knightsfield School (a special school for deaf children) is co-located with Monk’s Walk School. We have an outstanding partnership arrangement; at key stage 3 Knightsfield students join classes in Art. A few students are also integrated into GCSE groups. Knightsfield students join ours for lunch every day in our canteen in B Block.
Sixth Form Admissions. The admissions criteria for entry into the Sixth Form are detailed in the Welwyn Hatfield 14-19 Consortium Prospectus available online at the Welwyn Hatfield Consortium Website. Please note that the deadline for MWS applications is Friday 2nd February 2024 and not 18th January 2024 as specified on the Consortium website.
