Cucumber mosaic virus (Bromoviridae: Cucumovirus) is a cosmopolitan virus that is considered to be economically important because of its ability to infect thousands of hosts worldwide (Zitter and Murphy, 2009; Jacquemond, 2012).The virus is widespread and can be found across temperate and tropical climates, affecting many agricultural and horticultural crops (Rossinck et al., 1999).
