Emily Roberts who came to Winstanley College from Maghull High School is pursuing a career in Accountancy after successfully completing the Finance and Accounting pathway alongside her Business, Economics and Mathematics A-levels. After leaving Winstanley in the summer of 2018, Emily is currently studying Accountancy at Edge Hill University.
Andy, a former Upholland High School pupil studied at Winstanley from 1983 to 1987, taking A-levels in Theatre Studies, Film Studies and Philosophy and Religion. Andy says: “My happiest memory of my time at Winstanley is beginning a tradition of cabaret evenings with the drama teacher!
The college officially began life as Upholland Grammar School, which was founded in 1661, initially opened on School Lane, Up Holland. [3] The grammar school later moved to the Ox House Heyes Estate on Oxhouse Road in 1878, now the present-day site of Up Holland High School .
