Early Life Born in Long Island as Timothy Dexter, he attended Bradley University on a swimming scholarship before dropping out, moving to Southern California, and legally changing his last name to Treadwell in 1987.

According to Tim, as a teenager his home life disintegrated often getting stinking drunk and once smashed up the families car. After barely graduating high school, Tim left for Southern California and ended up in Long Beach.
