The second Pink Floyd album recorded without founding member Roger Waters, The Division Bell was written mostly by guitarist and singer David Gilmour and keyboardist Richard Wright. It features Wright's first lead vocal on a Pink Floyd album since The Dark Side of the Moon (1973).

Even if this phase doesn't quite live up to other earlier highlights, and Division Bell even stands out in comparison to the other "new" albums, Division Bell still plays for me with the top Pink Floyd albums in the catalogue. I just love everything about this album, from the cover to the sound, every song, every hook, every solo.
