On your visit to Central Park I would definitely recommend a visit to Strawberry Fields. It is a beautiful, tasteful tribute to John Lennon who used to live in New York City and was sadly killed nearby. As well as the Imagine mosiac there is also the Garden of Peace. There is a plaque on a rock nearby to show the nations that have endorsed this.
