This was the fictionalized account of John Wayne, Maureen O’Hara, and the crew of John Ford’s The Quiet Man descending on the small village of Cong in County Mayo in 1951, in order to make a movie that would go down in film history. It’s also a family saga, a tale of hero worship, and a love story. I was crazy about it.
