19 de dic. de 2023 · In commemoration of the Eisenhowers’ 55th wedding anniversary, the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum is displaying Julie's wedding gown, Mrs. Nixon’s mother-of-the-bride dress and the garter Julie wore as "something borrowed, something blue"—a gift from First Lady Mamie Eisenhower, who wore it when she married President Dwight Eisenhower on July 1, 1916.
In college, Julie reconnected with David Eisenhower, whom she had not seen since the 1957 inauguration of his grandfather, President Dwight D. Eisenhower. She and David, a student at nearby Amherst, fell in love and married on December 22, 1968, less than a month before Richard Nixon took the oath of office as president.

Eisenhower will present Inside the White House: Then and Now on February 12 at Elmhurst College. Julie Nixon Eisenhower is the author of three books— Pat Nixon: The Untold Story ; Special People; and Julie Eisenhower’s Cookbook for Children —and has lectured for more than 25 years. She also is a lifelong volunteer.
