Artist Jann Haworth, known for creating The Beatles’ “Sgt. Pepper Lonely Hearts Club Band” album cover and the “SLC Pepper” mural, and Alex Johnstone powerfully assemble a colorful cast of more than 250 figures from across the Beehive State in Utah Women 2020.
Jann Haworth’s art is poignant and telling, sly and humorous. A pioneer of “soft sculptures” in the early 1960s, Haworth is perhaps best-known as the co-creator of the Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album cover, which Rolling Stonemagazine named the most important album cover of all time.
Jann Haworth, born on March 15, 1942, is an American Pop artist. A pioneer of soft sculpture, she is one of the founders of Pop Art in the 1960s and is well-known as the co-creator, with Peter Blake (4) (married until 1979, then divorced), of The Beatles‘ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album cover.
