7 de sept. de 2016 · El 7 de septiembre de 1707 nacía en Montbard el naturalista, escritor, matemático y astrónomo francés Georges-Louis Leclerc, conde de Buffon. Abogado de formación, abandonó la tradición familiar que encaminaba su vida a la administración pública para estudiar matemáticas y medicina en la Universidad de Angers.

布封（Georges-Louis Leclerc de Buffon，1707年9月7日—1788年4月16日）十八世纪法国博物学家、作家。生于勃艮第省孟巴尔城一个律师家庭，原名乔治·路易·勒克来克，因继承关系，改姓德·布封。布封从小受教会教育，爱好自然科学。1739年起担任皇家花园(植物园)主任。
