Das führte speziell bei Neu!, dem kurzlebigen Duo von Michael Rother und Schlagzeuger Klaus Dinger, zu heute noch modern klingenden Klassikern wie Hallogallo oder Negativland. Vor allem in England, wo Krautrock immer einen höheren Stellenwert als in Deutschland hatte, wurden Leute wie David Bowie hellhörig.
