Edge Of Sanity started as your typical death metal band. Blast beats, growls, and occasional clean vocals, but they were very few. Crimson was where they defined their sound (and most of melodic death metal's), where clean vocals and acoustic passages were used just as much as the death metal aspects.
Edge of Sanity est un groupe de death metal suédois, originaire de Finspång.Il est formé en 1989 par le chanteur, batteur et multi-instrumentiste Dan Swanö, aux côtés du bassiste et guitariste Andreas « Dread » Axelsson. Après dix ans d'existence, Edge of Sanity arrête toute activité en 1999.Il revit très brièvement en 2003 avant de se séparer définitivement.
Edge of Sanity as a band dissolved in 1999, but former vocalist/composer Dan Swanö resurrected the band name in 2003 for one more time and recorded the "Crimson II" album, which was a solo studio project with guest musicians.
