Marillion ist eine britische Rockband, die 1979 in Aylesbury gegründet wurde. Ihre Geschichte lässt sich in zwei musikalisch voneinander abweichende Abschnitte unterteilen, was durch einen Austausch des Sängers bedingt ist: Mit Frontmann Fish konnte die Band sich als eine der einflussreichsten Bands des Neo-Prog etablieren, einer in den 1980er Jahren aufblühenden Form des Progressive Rock.
