About Elton Motello Alan Ward had originally been the singer with punk hopefuls Bastard, which also included in its ranks future Damned guitarist Brian James. After the band split Ward assumed the pseudonym of Elton Motello, alternating between England and Belgium, where he had built up associations touring with Bastard.
