12 de jun. de 2020 · Forget all the missing thematic depth or character—“The King of Staten Island” just isn’t nearly as funny as the best of Apatow or even Davidson’s stand-up material. It's lost in a tonal valley, unsure of how to wring comedy from trauma and depression, but also unwilling to really consider either. Available On Demand on 6/12.

12 de jun. de 2020 · The King of Staten Island was one of the funniest movies I have ever seen but also had great depth and was emotionally powerful, one of my favorite movies of all time. Pete Davidson's performance was astounding, just one of the most hilarious performances I have ever seen but with some strong emotional depth as well.
