Early Life and Influences. Born on November 17, 1944, in Rotterdam, Netherlands, Remment Lucas Koolhaas exhibited an early fascination with art and culture. His academic journey led him to the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London, where he honed his skills and developed a keen understanding of architectural theory.
