Joonas Suotamo grew up in Espoo, Finland and first became interested in acting through his performances in local plays during his youth. Later on, a basketball scholarship offered him the opportunity to go and study at the Pennsylvania State University in the United States.
Joonas Suotamo stands at an impressive 7'0, but it turns out that he still needed to wear heels to get even taller. The reason? Because the filmmakers want to make sure he's the same height as the late Peter Mayhew.
