Biografia. Patrick Macnee era di origine scozzese, essendo suo bisnonno, Sir Daniel Macnee, un ritrattista scozzese. È stato l'unico figlio dell'allenatore di cavalli da corsa Daniel Shrimp Macnee e di Dorothea May Henry, che era imparentata con gli Earls di Huntingdon.
