Ian Don Marter was an English actor and writer, perhaps best known for his role as Harry Sullivan in the BBC television science-fiction series Doctor Who, from December 1974 to September 1975 as a regular, with a one story return in November and December 1975. Ian Don Marter (28 Ekim 1944 - 28 Ekim 1986), İngiliz oyuncu ve yazar. Aralık 1974'ten Eylül 1975'e kadar düzenli olarak BBC bilimkurgu dizisi Doctor Who'da Harry Sullivan rolünü oynamıştır. Bazen kalem adı olan Ian Don adını kullanmıştır.
Born in Keresley, West Midlands, Ian Marter attended Oxford University. He began acting professionally during his studies, with his first credit being a small role in the 1967 movie adaptation of Doctor Faustus starring Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor. Following his graduation in 1969, Marter joined the Bristol Old Vic, initially as an assistant stage manager and then as an actor.
