The Johannesburg-born, Perth-raised singer-songwriter was 20 when it came out. He’d already found fame as a YouTuber, and publicly came out as gay on the platform in 2013. Blue Neighbourhood followed two years later.
Last Year Was Weird, Vol. 3 came at almost perfect timing at the beginning of summer, and duly named considering what events took place the year prior. It is a perfect listen for sitting in the park on a hot summer day and jamming out to eight songs that are completely different from one another.
