The Winter Wake is the third studio album by Italian folk/power metal band Elvenking.It features the return of original vocalist, Damnagoras, and the departure of guitarist, Jarpen. The first demo CD "To Oak Woods Bestowed" was recorded with Damnagoras in the double role of vocalist/bass player (solution also used in concert). Until Summer 2000, Zender and Jarpen's nicknames were respectively Stormgald and Dag'or'dil. Vocalist Damnagoras rejoined the band in 2004 a few months after the release of the second album, but guitarist Jarpen then left.
