Nothing says "good idea" like "original screenplay written by Harry Nilsson and Terry Southern as though it were a one-woman stage show" and "first and only film directed by Rip Torn." I figured out the punchline of The Telephone as soon as I read the Amazon Prime description, but that didn't stop me from going down the rabbit hole and actually watching it.
