13 de may. de 2012 · As the house band for Stax Records, Booker T.& The M.G.'s served as the studio backing band for many of the label's artists through the 60s, and can be heard on many of the decade's most notable Soul and Rhythm & Blues albums- highlights include Otis Redding's Otis Blue: Otis Redding Sings Soul, Albert King's Born Under a Bad Sign, and William Bell's The Soul of a Bell.

Booker T. & the M.G.'s er et amerikansk instrumentalt R&B og soul-band som ble startet i 1962 i Memphis i Tennessee av Booker T.
