Paul Douglas, Jackie Jackson and Radcliffe ‘Dougie’ Bryan are recognized as founding members who, along with frontman Toots Hibbert, continue to perform in the group to the present day. Paul is best known for his decades-long tenure as the drummer and bandleader of Toots and The Maytals. He was hand-selected by Christopher Blackwell as a founding member of The Maytals Band alongside Clifton 'Jackie' Jackson, Radcliffe 'Dougie' Bryan, Winston Wright, and Hux Brown to start touring with Toots in 1974.
