  3. Of the many large ensemble recordings Jimmy Smith recorded for Verve, PETER AND THE WOLF is probably the most interesting. Oliver Nelson conducts and arranges the big brass section, and Smith generally goes apeshit on the organ. "Elegy For A Duck" is by far my favorite track on the album, "Cat In A Tree" is also a highlight.
