Biografía. Robert Jonathan Demme fue un director, productor y guionista norteamericano, nacido el 22 de febrero de 1944, en Baldwin, Nueva York. Ingresó en la Universidad de Florida, con estudios de Química pero abandonó para dedicarse a algo que le llamaba más la atención: escribir críticas de cine en la propia revista de la universidad.
