Voici donc, après un « The Wicked Symphony » répondant très bien aux attentes, « Angel of Babylon », le chapitre final de la trilogie du plus populaire des « Metal-Operas ». Bien entendu, puisque tout le monde était sur place, on prend les mêmes et on recommence, à quelques absents et nouveaux venus près.

Standing at the helm of this sad 2-parter is “The Wicked Symphony”, which is among the more ironic titles to an album that has been put out to date in relation to what it carries. In contrast to “Angel Of Babylon”, this is a far less consistent album that relies much more heavily on guest vocal and guitar slots than consistent songwriting.
Granted, as a whole, I enjoy The Wicked Symphony more than Angel Of Babylon, but the albums truly were made for each other; one completes its counterpart, in a way. The deluxe set itself is marvelous; the glossy digipaks inside perfectly compliment the box in which they’re encased, and the bonus book is very interesting and informative.
The Wicked Symphony ist das vierte Studioalbum der Metal-Oper Avantasia von Tobias Sammet.Das Album erschien am 3. April 2010 gleichzeitig mit dem Album Angel of Babylon.Tobias Sammet besteht jedoch darauf, dass es sich um zwei unabhängige Alben handelt, und nicht um ein Doppelalbum.
Malgré son emploi du temps chargé et deux autres tournées mondiales, TOBIAS SAMMET a passé les rares semaines libres en 2008 et 2009 en studio pour travailler avec le producteur Sascha Paeth sur de nouveaux matériaux d'AVANTASIA, qui se présentent maintenant sous la forme des albums ”The Wicked Symphony” et ”Angel Of Babylon” juste avant leur sortie (le 3 avril).
