Kristofferson talks alot about the devil on Border Lord. You would think this 1972 release is pre-goth alt-country in the 16 Horsepower way but all in all its still too tame for that, but, an intelligent man like Kristofferson has some lyrics on this album that have a good deal of depth to them, the reason really that makes Border Lord a good add to my country collection.

10 de feb. de 2007 · As far as I know, this was the 3rd of Kris Kristofferson's albums and it was the first that was made up of original Kristofferson material. Border Lord proved to be a disappointment sale wise. As I've read the critics say it's the worst of Kristofferson (I disagree). The song "Josie" was the first single released from Border Lord.
