Gary Joseph Lachman, conosciuto anche come Gary Valentine (Bayonne, 24 dicembre 1955), è uno scrittore e musicista statunitense.. Gary Lachman (nom de scène: Gary Valentine) est un écrivain américain et un musicien de rock né le 24 décembre 1955 à Bayonne, New Jersey, aux États-Unis. Ancien membre du groupe Blondie, il se consacre depuis les années 1990 à l’écriture, essentiellement dans les domaines du mysticisme et de l'ésotérisme.
Lachman war unter dem Namen Gary Valentine Gründungsmitglied und Bassist der New-Wave -Band Blondie. Er schrieb die Musik und den Text für viele Stücke der Band. 1977 verließ er Blondie, um seine eigene Gruppe zu gründen. Weitere Formationen folgten, unter anderem 1981 eine Zusammenarbeit mit Iggy Pop. 1996 zog Lachman nach London.
