A Flock of Seagulls ist eine britische New-Wave-Band, die 1979 in Liverpool unter dem Namen Tontrix gegründet wurde. Die größten Hits in Deutschland waren I Ran (1982), Wishing (If I Had a Photograph of You) (1983) und The More You Live, The More You Love (1984).
Historia. Pierwsze nagrania nie przyniosły grupie popularności, dopiero singiel z utworem „I Ran” wydany w 1982 roku przyniósł jej rozgłos.. W 1983 roku nagrali swoją pierwszą płytę A Flock of Seagulls.Mimo że zespół zaproponował dość schematyczne kompozycje oparte na wyeksponowanym brzmieniu syntezatorów, płyta odniosła sukces (producentem był Mike Howlett).
