Fans of Japanese psychedelia know Miyashita best as a founding member of Far Out and Far East Family Band, two pioneering progressive/space rock bands that existed during the mid-'70s.
Following the breakup of these groups, Miyashita embarked on a solo career in electronic music and soundtrack composition. Eventually, he shifted his focus to creating music for healing, meditation, therapy, and sleep. With over a hundred albums released, *Fumio* became renowned for his soothing compositions that resonated with audiences in Japan.
