OPRF Museum’s newest exhibit, Ever Changing, Yet the Same: OPRF High School at 150, opens to the public during regular museum hours starting Friday September 22. Visit during regular museum hours (Wed-Sat, 1-5pm, click here to learn more about planning your visit). The exhibit is just part of the community-wide celebration of this anniversary.
The school, Oak Park-Ridgeland High School, was opened for public inspection on the afternoon of 1 January 1892. [6] The building was designed for kindergarten and grades 5–12. [6] Among the features of the building was a state-of-the-art ventilation system that changed the air in the entire building once every six minutes. [6]
