Das Electric Light Orchestra wurde 1970 in Birmingham von den Mitgliedern der Band The Move, Roy Wood, Jeff Lynne und Bev Bevan gegründet. Das selbst gesteckte Ziel war, dort weiterzumachen, wo die Beatles mit I Am The Walrus aufgehört hatten. Man verband also Rockmusik mit avantgardistisch-klassischer Musik.
29 de oct. de 2012 · As the song goes: “Ha, ha.” “Evil Woman” is one of 11 beloved ELO songs that Lynne re-recorded in his studio in Los Angeles for Mr. Blue Sky – The Very Best of Electric Light Orchestra. Given recording limitations of the 70s and 80s, Lynne thought the songs needed some retouching.
