An autobiographical song written whilst Protheroe was living in a friend's flat in Covent Garden, it was released as his first single after he was signed by Chrysalis on the strength of a song he wrote and performed in a play.

  5. 23 de sept. de 2019 · One of my favorite discoveries is this gem by Brian Protheroe, who released a few albums in the mid-70s before taking up a long-running acting career (with intermittent returns to recording). It's an odd little blend of mellow singer-songwriter folkish-pop, light jazz, and prog. Think a weird mish-mash of Harry Nilsson, 10cc, Steely Dan, and Supertramp.
