20 de oct. de 2012 · Big Brother were great fun, and if you like raw rock, though not as raw as Cheap Thrills or their live stuff, these, their last two albums, are well worth owning. Don't expect the explosive combination of Sam Andrews & co. when Janis was with them, but most of the songs on these 1970 & 1971 albums are well worth the listening.

The cover illustration seems to give the impression-four featureless black shadows-that w/o Janis, people perceived them as non-entities.
Big Brother and the Holding Company is an American rock band who gained notoriety for their collaboration with Janis Joplin.. Big Brother and the Holding Company is founded in San Francisco in 1965 by guitarist Peter Albin and singer Sam Andrew. They ask James Gurley as a guitarist, and after the original has been replaced by drummer David Getz, the band adopted its solid form.
