Ghostlights is actually the best album Avantasia has ever put out, and pretty close to the best thing Sammet has ever done, though I'd still say Age of the Joker is slightly better. This is a more organic work than Sammet usually does, with more punch and grit to the rhythm guitars and less shiny gloss over everything – it sounds more natural and lively.

Avantasia es un macroproyecto de power metal sinfónico con influencias de ópera, formado en Fulda en 2000, por el vocalista y líder de la banda de power metal Edguy, Tobias Sammet.
